Wave
Wave energy captures the natural motion of the ocean to generate clean electricity. As wind moves across the sea, it creates waves that carry kinetic and potential energy – energy that can be harnessed using various technologies known as Wave Energy Converters (WECs). These include oscillating water columns, point absorbers, and attenuators, each designed to convert wave motion into usable power. As a renewable and predictable resource, wave energy holds strong potential for coastal and island communities.
