Sustainable farming projects

The Ronella Group is working closely with AF Track to promote and distribute the AF Track Rotavator to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. These projects are empowering farmers to significantly increase crop yields, often in regions with limited access to fertile land, reliable water sources, and modern agricultural infrastructure.
For decades, mechanical farming equipment has relied almost entirely on fossil fuels. While this presents clear environmental challenges, it also creates a major practical barrier for remote regions where fuel supplies are scarce, expensive, or inconsistent. This dependency has long restricted the modernisation of farming practices and limited the productivity and resilience of rural communities.
Ronella Group is proud to collaborate with Dr Jonathan Wilson and Dr Toby Williams, inventors and engineers who continue to lecture at Loughborough University. Their expertise underpins the AF Track innovation – a highly versatile, fuel-independent agricultural solution designed specifically for challenging environments.
The AF Track Rotavator has been fully optimised to support farmers in a wide range of tasks which can also carry additional attachments including ploughs, shredders for animal feed production, and other interchangeable tools to suit different agricultural needs.
The team has recently returned from the Malawi Project, where the latest development of the AF Track Rotavator is being introduced to local farmers. This hands-on fieldwork ensures the technology is not only effective in theory, but practical, robust, and tailored to the real-world conditions faced by the communities it serves.
Beyond agricultural productivity, these projects are also helping to strengthen wider community life. These initiatives are delivering meaningful, long-term change: resilient, fuel-independent agricultural tools that strengthen food security, restore dignity, and give families the opportunity to build more sustainable futures.
Plans are now in place to expand these initiatives across Central and Southern Africa, supporting farmers in additional regions. At the same time, Ronella Group is developing projects in South America, working with partners in Argentina, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador, with the first AF Track machines scheduled for delivery in 2026.
Supporting this growth, a newly appointed Board Director at Ronella Group brings extensive experience working with the World Bank and is actively exploring new project opportunities in Ethiopia and beyond.
